A Reply to Henry Kissinger and Fouad Ajami

Issue: 1992, Volume 25, Issue 5
Subject: History|Media|Zionism
Author: Finkelstein, Norman
Issue Description: As a graduate student at Princeton University Norman Finkelstein challenged the accuracy of Joan Peters’s “From Time Immemorial,”which claimed that the Palestinians never did constitute an indigenous majority in those areas of Palestine that became Israel in 1948. [See The Link, Jan.-March 1985.] Since then, at considerable detriment to his own career, Norman continues to challenge those myths that suggest that Palestinians deserve what they got and, moreover, are even blessed that
they ended up with such benevolent occupiers.
